Violet wood

From the Amazon rainforests, violet wood is a precious wood with a cross-cut grain. As its name suggests, it has a violet colour but alternates between darker and lighter parts throughout its grain. It is a wood that was much sought after during the 18th and 19th centuries to create the veneers used in fine furniture making.

Thanks to the rich heritage of our workshop, we have found old veneers of high grade quality. The base-boards of the jewellery in our Elévation collection are made exclusively from this precious wood.
