plane tree

An emblem of the French highways, its camouflaged trunk conceals a stunning wood that is imbued with reflections of light that are so rich it could be mistaken for an animal pelt. The plane tree has always been part of our country’s rich environment. It is a tree that is part of a common heritage.

In Greek mythology, the plane tree is a symbol of regeneration (its bark regenerates by forming scales). It was also used to build the Trojan Horse. Plane trees  symbolise 61 years of marriage.
