Violet wood

From the Amazon rainforests, violet wood is a precious wood with a cross-cut grain. As its name suggests, it has a violet colour but alternates between darker and lighter parts throughout its grain. It is a wood that was much sought after during the 18^th and 19^th centuries to create the veneers used in fine furniture making.

Thanks to the rich heritage of our workshop, we have found old veneers of high grade quality. The base-boards of the jewellery in our Elévation collection are made exclusively from this precious wood.
